IQOS – Heat not Burn Technology

A product designed to give legal age smokers a better alternative versus the continued use of cigarettes.

IQOS is a brand under the umbrella of tobacco company, Philip Morris International. IQOS was launched into the South African market in late 2017, partnering with New Era Agency as the service provider to help accelerate and facilitate the growth of Non Combustible Alternatives in the South African market. Through rapid growth made possible by learnings and industry experience, IQOS opened its first flagship store in 2019 and the growth still continues.

Retail Kiosks

Starting with the brands first retail kiosk in V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, it has since grown to 9 in Gauteng, 1 in the Free State, 9 in the Western Cape and 2 In KwaZulu-Natal.

Sales Specialists

Apart from retail, the Brand also has its own dedicated sales specialists that are managed by New Era Agency, who take the brand into the consumers’ home and social meeting places.

Our Role

All this growth has been facilitated by the expertise and experience between New Era Agency and Philip Morris South Africa, where we as a service provider manage everything from staffing and sales to consumer insights and reporting.


Propose, engage, faciliate and setup brand activation opportunities together with Philip Morris South Africa in order to drive awareness and education around Non-Combustible Alternatives to legal age consumers.


Drive training, development & support of all campaign activation staff and direct sales teams, with the purpose to engage and educate legal age consumers around the brand and Non-Combustible Alternatives.

CRM & Sales

Recruit, train and amplify the retail and business to consumer sales team nationally, managing the entire consumer sales process and facilitating Consumer Relationship Management (CRM) with Client through data and reporting.
